Only about 200 Apple 1 (aka Lisa) computers were released in 1976. One of them just found a new owner after Italian collector Marco Boglione paid $210,000 for a model at a Christie's auction in London.
Boglione walked away with the computer as well as its original packaging, a signed sales letter from Steve Jobs and an autographed letter by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
While the Apple 1's processor is considered about 1,000 times slower than the iPad's, it represented the first computer to come with an assembled motherboard, even though users still had to add stuff on their own like a keyboard, display and power supply.
The Apple 1 originally sold for $666.66 so Boglione, who plans to restore the computer to working order, paid about a 314 percent markup for his hobby.
